Swedish Guitarist uses GibbsCAM to Produce Desired Sound

HandBender Sweden AB, founded by Swedish guitarist Stefan Olsson, set out to fix the shortcomings of existing guitar string benders. American designs were clumsy, forced players to stand, and could damage the instrument; after building a working prototype, Stefan needed professional manufacturing to turn his idea into a reliable product.

Local machine shop Torsby Mekaniska used GibbsCAM to produce CAD models and CNC toolpaths, quickly machining the first production HandBenders. The resulting device is compact, easy to use, and non‑invasive, delivering the desired pedal‑steel twang and attracting strong interest from country guitarists around the world.
