With several new electronics and mechanical enhancements, shrinking product cycles, and the need for a large initial run without paying premium mold costs—and with plans to bring tooling in-house after the first run—Summit faced a tight timeline to get parts in hand without sacrificing quality.

They engaged 3D Systems On Demand Manufacturing (Quickparts), which provided rapid online quoting, design-for-manufacturing analysis, and a fast tool build.
