A 3D Systems Case Study
Seatools, a Netherlands-based designer and builder of bespoke subsea equipment for industries from offshore oil and gas to renewables and aquaculture, needed a fast, eye-catching way to communicate its diverse, high-end offerings at the crowded Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. With only seconds to attract attention amid 2,300+ exhibitors and a looming deadline, the company required highly detailed, durable scale models that could survive transatlantic shipping and reflect its quality standards.
3D Systems’ On Demand Manufacturing produced seven SLS 3D printed appearance models in durable DuraForm PA, then finished, painted and assembled each piece to spec. The robust nylon models survived freight, showcased exceptional detail, unburdened Seatools with turnkey service, drew crowds at the show, sparked conversations, and helped the company generate new business relationships.
