A 3D Systems Case Study
Saxonia-Franke, founded in 1981 in Göppingen, Germany, is a specialist in fastening elements, safety systems and precision stamped/bent parts and plastic injection moldings, producing about 40 progressive dies a year. The company needed to stay competitive by improving die quality, cutting costs and delivery times, reducing trial-and-error iterations, integrating design and production workflows, and reliably importing and repairing data from formats like STEP, CATIA and AutoCAD.
Saxonia-Franke implemented CimatronE’s DieQuote, DieDesign and 3‑Axis Milling to create a single, end-to-end die-making solution from quoting through NC programming and production. The result was faster, integrated workflows (including FEA), more precise, defect-free tool designs and higher-quality tool paths, plus improved detection and repair of data-conversion errors—delivering reduced design time, fewer mistakes and better overall efficiency.
