RTM Changes the Way It Produces Parts with Cimatron CAD/CAM software

RTM, a Vicenza-based manufacturer serving pneumatics, hydraulics, hobbies and furniture, produces precision parts from materials such as brass, copper, PVC, silver, aluminum and stainless steel with diameters from 3 mm to 60 mm. With a 20-person production team and ISO 9000 certification, RTM needed to differentiate itself by tackling highly complex parts, finding technology for high-precision development, and improving time, cost and labor efficiencies.

RTM implemented CimatronE’s 5-Axis module, which enabled accurate import and repair of diverse file formats, and delivered efficiencies through templates, preset processes and automatic programming with optional manual checks. The solution achieved extreme precision (holes to 0.2 microns, superior surface finishes and near-invisible profiles), reliable, fully tested toolpaths via realistic chip‑breaking simulations, and measurable gains in speed, cost and manufacturability.
