ProJet® HDPlus 3D Printer and CAD/CAM Software Accelerate Development at Macboot®

Macboot, a leading Brazilian footwear company known for its sustainability and innovation, faced slow, error-prone product development because design and prototyping were done manually with no software support. These limitations caused inaccuracies, production delays and higher costs that hindered fast time-to-market for new styles.

To address this, Macboot partnered with Seacam to implement Delcam CAD/CAM software and the 3D Systems ProJet 3500 HDPlus 3D printer across its production chain. The in-house 3D printing and software workflow enabled rapid, accurate prototyping and functional testing, sped up mold and matrix manufacturing, improved confidentiality, cut development costs, and reduced lead times from days to hours, allowing designers to iterate more freely.
