Pedrollo is an Italian electric pump manufacturer with a 40‑year history of supplying water systems worldwide. Facing long prototype lead times, growing regulatory demands, and significant revenue loss to counterfeiters, the company needed to speed design cycles, protect intellectual property, and improve pump performance.

Pedrollo brought prototyping in‑house using 3D Systems’ SLA printers (ProJet 6000 and later ProX 800) and clear resins (VisiJet SL Clear, Accura ClearVue), enabling visual analysis of internal fluid flow. The change cut prototype turnaround from about five months to under 24 hours, helped recapture nearly 30% of revenue lost to counterfeiting, and drove performance improvements and broader use of 3D‑printed parts, jigs and fixtures.
