Narsakka OY achieves new level of productivity in jewelry casting pattern production using 3D Systems’ wax 3D printing solution for jewelry

Narsakka, a traditional Finnish goldsmith, adopted 3D Systems’ wax 3D printing solution to address the time-consuming, error-prone steps of traditional lost-wax pattern production and to respond to changing customer demand for smaller, on‑demand orders and greater design flexibility. The company sought more consistent quality, faster turnaround, and a digital workflow that would reduce manual work and variability in casting patterns.

Working with reseller PLM Group, Narsakka implemented the Projet MJP 2500W printer with VisiJet M2 CAST wax and 3D Sprint software, using dissolvable/meltable supports and an optimized file-to-pattern workflow. The result: a 100% success rate for parts, 60–100 wax patterns produced in about four hours, lead times reduced from weeks to days, elimination of master patterns and rubber molds for better process control, and new business opportunities for bespoke and volume production.
