LogiCAD and ProJet® 3510 CPX Make Short Work of Tricky Geometry for Gas Component Manufacturer Elster Aeroteh

Elster Aeroteh, Romania’s leading maker of gas meters and regulators, needed a new, locally produced pressure regulator housing but found CNC prototypes couldn’t reproduce the part’s complex geometry accurately for pressure testing. With Romanian jobs and competitive local production at stake, the company required a fast, precise way to validate the design and manufacturing feasibility.

LogiCAD Solutions used the 3D Systems ProJet 3510 CPX to print RealWax micro-detail casting patterns, which were cast into aluminum alloy housings and finish-machined, turning CAD to final test parts in about 12 days. The accurate, cost-effective workflow enabled successful testing, approval for production in Romania, and helped preserve local manufacturing jobs.
