Levolor Reduces Time-To-Market For Decorative Finials With Geomagic Freeform And 3D Printing

Levolor Kirsch Window Fashions, a North Carolina–based maker of window products for major retailers, needed a faster way to design complex decorative finials while keeping quality high. Traditional modeling in wood or clay was time‑consuming and slowed product development and approvals.

By adopting Geomagic Freeform with PHANTOM haptics and 3D printing (SLA/SLS) Levolor digitized sculpting, produced rapid prototypes to check manufacturability, and iterated designs quickly. The new workflow cut pure modeling time by 7–10 days, sped approvals and quoting, and reduced overall time‑to‑market for the leaf finial.
