KSB Group Reduces Mold Design and Production Cycle Times by 40% with Cimatron CAD/CAM Software

KSB Group, a global leader in pumps, valves and related systems with about 14,000 employees and more than 30 manufacturing sites worldwide, faced pressure to shorten production time for complex molds while maintaining quality. Their challenges included reducing machining and manual finishing time, improving surface quality, effectively using 4‑axis machining for full material removal, and eliminating gouging issues.

KSB implemented CimatronE NC with 4‑Axis for pattern manufacturing, which improved toolpath quality and eliminated gouging. The change cut cycle times by more than 40% while raising quality and accuracy, reduced manual finishing, and boosted productivity to about 1,000 impellers per month.
