Kielce Technology Park in Poland Competes on World Stage with SLS 3D Printing

Kielce Technology Park in Poland launched a 3D Printing Center to help the region move beyond low-cost manufacturing and compete on the global stage. To do that it invested in a 3D Systems ProX SLS 500 selective laser sintering system—one of the first of its class—to deliver high-precision, production-ready parts for a wide range of industries.

Using the ProX SLS 500 with DuraForm nylon, automated material quality control, efficient cooling and high powder-recycling (with training and support from 3D Lab), the Center produces injection-molding-quality parts for sectors from fashion and architecture to medical and electronics. The results were immediate: 40 customers in two months, long-term contracts within weeks, superior surface finish and precision, lower operating costs and reduced waste, positioning the Park for expanded domestic and international business.
