A 3D Systems Case Study
Ghilardi Stampi is a family-owned Italian maker of high-volume thermoplastic molds and equipment, established in 1965 and serving global markets from Cologno Monzese. The company specializes in very small, intricate parts—sometimes up to 288 cavities per mold—so it must combine maximal productivity with exceptionally simple, easy-to-maintain designs.
To meet that challenge Ghilardi adopted Cimatron MoldDesign and Catalogs, using built‑in automation (copy‑paste, one‑click visual error coding, and cataloging) to speed design and plate customization. The result was faster mold creation, fewer errors, better use of resources and a growing internal parts library—improvements that contributed to award-winning tooling and more robust, longer‑lasting molds.
