Fonco Fabrication Meets Scale Model Deadlines with Detailed Full Color Printing

Fonco Fabrication and Design was contracted by Riva Digital to produce a ten‑foot‑long, fully detailed 1:160 scale model of the Canal Residence West development in Dubai (and a subsequent 1:80 Linksview model). The assignments were highly complex—dozens of tiny balconies, intricate handrails and files originally intended only for rendering—and had an almost impossible two‑month deadline and tight budget.

Fonco chose a 3D Systems 3D Printer, adapted the render files for print, sliced the models into printable planes and produced precise modular parts (about 30 per building). The components were assembled, painted and fitted with transparencies and lighting, delivered on time and on budget, earned strong praise from investors for their detail, and led to further prototype and entertainment work, demonstrating speed and quality without compromise.
