Figure 4® 3D Printer adds Precision and Productivity For Swedish Design Agency, Splitvision

Stockholm-based Splitvision Design, a product design agency serving technology‑intensive medtech and automotive clients with extended manufacturing and logistics services, was hit by a surge in customer demand that created a prototyping bottleneck. Long lead times from third‑party suppliers and the difficulty of producing elastomeric parts (TPE/silicone) prevented quick fit, assembly and user testing, slowing product development and time to market.

Splitvision installed a 3D Systems Figure 4 Standalone printer and adopted Figure 4 ELAST‑BLK 10 and TOUGH‑GRY‑15 materials to produce high‑quality, rubber‑like and rigid prototypes in‑house. The result: much faster prototyping and elastomeric part production, improved assembly validation, fewer tool adjustments and iterations, and a clear productivity boost that accelerated product iteration and reduced time to market.
