EIMO Incorporates Cimatron CAD/CAM Software to Build Lean manufacturing Practises

EIMO, a die-maker for the automotive industry based in Vicksburg, Michigan and part of the global EIMO Corporation, faced mounting competitive pressure to deliver a diverse range of high-quality tools faster and at lower cost. Historically long lead times and cultural resistance to change meant the company needed to rethink processes from quoting through delivery to remain competitive.

EIMO adopted lean manufacturing and standardized on the CimatronE software across design, CAM and EDM, cross-training staff and eliminating paper-based workflows. The result: faster, more accurate tool design and production, fewer errors, roughly half the designer headcount required for the same work, shorter lead times, improved quality, and a scalable process recognized by domestic and international customers.
