A 3D Systems Case Study
CRP, based in Modena, Italy, evolved from the Roberto Cevolini tool shop (1970) into CRP Technology (1996) and supplies high-precision components to Formula 1, rally and other top motorsport series. Their core challenge is producing flawless, highly complex parts on tight schedules while accommodating frequent design changes during racing seasons.
CRP relies on CimatronE 4- and 5-Axis CAD/CAM to meet those demands, using features like constant collision control, advanced roughing strategies, rapid cavity machining and realistic chip-removal simulation. The result is faster production through automation and integration, higher product quality with fewer human errors, and the ability to implement design changes easily even after NC programming has begun.
