Beistel Machining, Inc. uses GibbsCAM MTM to machine complex parts and VoluMill to speed up machining time

Beistel Machining, a Donora, Pa. job shop founded by Brent Beistel, faced growing demands for faster, more efficient CNC programming after buying its first Doosan VMC. The shop needed to reduce reliance on outside programmers and handle complex tombstone setups and multi-task parts that previously required multiple lathe and mill operations.

Beistel implemented GibbsCAM (production milling plus tombstone management and MTM), added the VoluMill toolpath and kept maintenance/support through a local reseller. The changes cut programming time (one job saved up to six hours and work offsets dropped from 28 to 7), allowed multi-op parts to be completed in far fewer setups (two operations instead of four), delivered quick ROI on VoluMill, and benefited from responsive post-processor support.
