Inter-American University’s Bachelor of Radiology Technologist program faced a shortage of clinical placement opportunities—only two nearby hospitals—leaving students with limited hands-on exposure before graduation. To make graduates more experienced and attractive to employers and to enhance patient safety, the university sought a realistic simulation solution.

They purchased the Simbionix ANGIO Mentor Suite from 3D Systems—the first on the island of Puerto Rico—giving students team-based, hands-on angiography training in their final semester across a wide range of endovascular procedures and soon to be linked to a real C‑arm. The simulator enriches the curriculum, increases student confidence and employability, shortens on‑the‑job training time, and makes the program more appealing to prospective students.
