A 3D Systems Case Study
AccuAir Control Systems, founded in 2001 by Reno and Dustin Heon, builds computerized air suspension controllers for the aftermarket and aimed to improve their Precision Ride Height Control ECU. Their existing enclosure was attractive but costly to produce and not weather resistant, so they needed to move to injection molding to lower cost, improve durability, and find a partner to take the design from concept to production quickly.
3D Systems On Demand Manufacturing responded rapidly and provided a single-source solution: quick prototyping, CNC parts in production materials and tolerances for fit testing, and final injection-mold tooling. In under eight weeks the team iterated the design, validated fits, and cut tooling—halving lead time and cost—and delivered a cosmetically appealing, weather-resistant, high-quality production part that met AccuAir’s performance and budget goals.
