3D ProMetal Optimizes Next-Gen Medical Components with 3DXpert AM Software

3D ProMetal is a specialist 3D printing service bureau for surgical devices and medical implant components, founded by industry veterans Boaz Harari and Uri Shasha. They needed to produce complex metal geometries that are difficult or impossible with conventional manufacturing while drastically shortening prototype lead times and improving cost predictability.

By adopting 3D Systems’ 3DXpert integrated AM software with the ProX DMP 200 and LaserForm 316L stainless steel, 3D ProMetal streamlined CAD preparation, automated orientation/supports, and precise print-time/material estimation. The results: prototype cycles reduced from weeks to days, minute-accurate quoting, ability to print ultra-thin walls (~0.3–0.4 mm) and tiny taps (M1.6), less assembly (printing taps instead of welding nuts), and stronger competitive positioning.
