A 3Dflow Case Study
Museo Egizio, the Egyptian Museum of Turin, collaborated with vendor 3Dflow to create its "Archeologia Invisibile" exhibition, which aimed to reveal the hidden stories and histories of its artifacts that are not visible to the naked eye. The challenge was to make this invisible knowledge accessible and engaging for visitors through innovative digital and interactive methods.
The solution implemented by 3Dflow involved using close-range photogrammetry, processed through their software 3DF Zephyr, to create highly detailed 3D models of archaeological finds like a cat mummy. This allowed the museum to build an interactive 3D database, resulting in a more immersive visitor experience through explanatory videos and 3D visualizations. The project was so successful that a full 3D virtual tour of the entire exhibition was created, making the invisible past visible to a global online audience.
