3D Spark signs three-year breakthrough deal with Alstom

Alstom, a global railway technology company, sought to enhance its additive manufacturing and procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support its sustainability goals. To address this, they partnered with vendor 3D Spark and implemented its AI-driven B2B SaaS platform, which includes tools like the "Digital Factory Twin" and "Supplier Panel" for manufacturability analysis and procurement.

By leveraging 3D Spark's solution, Alstom achieved remarkable results, including over 15 million euros in cost savings and a reduction in lead times equivalent to 2,600 months. The platform also enabled an 86% decrease in procurement efforts and a 20% decrease in part purchase prices. Furthermore, 3D Spark’s automatic CO2 footprint calculation helped Alstom make more sustainable manufacturing decisions and prepare for evolving EU directives.
