HOK, an architecture firm working on the massive restoration and modernization of Canada's historic Parliamentary complex, faced challenges in tracking changes and managing versions of their complex 3D BIM models. They partnered with vendor 3D Repo to implement its innovative Building Information Modelling system to eliminate the risk of data loss and meet stringent data residency requirements.

The solution from 3D Repo provided a cloud-based versioning system that dynamically tracked all changes to the 3D geometry and data. This allowed HOK to efficiently compare models, validate large-scale geometry, and stream content directly into Unreal Engine for real-time client visualizations. As a result, HOK and its partners achieved streamlined collaboration, more effective communication, and a significant reduction in potential errors throughout the extensive project.
