BIM Integration with OpenText Core for Supplier Exchange

OpenText, a world leader in Enterprise Information Management, sought to streamline the management of contractual deliverables and transmittals within its global network of suppliers. Their challenge was to integrate advanced 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) data review into their existing document submission cycles for their Core for Supplier Exchange solution, a public cloud transition point for engineering projects and suppliers.

3D Repo provided the solution through an integration with its open API and digital construction platform. When suppliers upload Revit or IFC files to the Core for Supplier Exchange, they are automatically loaded into 3D Repo. This allows reviewers and suppliers to use 3D Repo's full suite of browser-based collaboration tools, including commenting and mark-ups, to inspect models before approval. Once approved, deliverables are accepted into the main system library. This integration maximized value by making complex BIM data a seamless part of OpenText's existing secure review processes.
