PBC Linear, a 35‑year manufacturer of linear motion systems in Roscoe, Illinois, was expanding into a new adjacent manufacturing facility and needed a hands‑on, to‑scale model of the plant and its machinery to plan workflows and position equipment accurately. Traditional 2D mockups risked costly miscalculations and required large crews to reposition full‑size equipment during layout changes.

Using large‑format 3D printing, the team produced roughly 100 durable, color‑coded parts to build a 4 × 20 ft top‑down model of the new floor.
