Spanish University Solves Phone System Pitfalls with 3CX

EUSS, Escola Universiària Salesiana de Sarrià in Barcelona, Spain, needed a more cost-effective and modern phone system to replace its aging Siemens Hicom 150. As the university grew to 70 employees and 700 students, its telecom bills rose to about €6,600 per year, and it wanted a solution that would be flexible, scalable, and better suited to future expansion. EUSS chose 3CX to address these communication challenges.

3CX, implemented by partner Telinformática, deployed a new IP-based phone system with 70 IP phones and a SIP trunk with 20 connections. The upgrade reduced telecom costs, added unified communications features, and improved redundancy through backup in more than one location and a virtualized setup. With 3CX, EUSS gained lower cost and maintenance, greater flexibility, and a more reliable phone system built for long-term growth.
