3CX Frees the City of Sorgues from Costly, Rigid Telephony Solutions

The City of Sorgues, a municipality in southeastern France, needed a more cost-effective telephony solution after three years on Alcatel’s OMNI PBX Enterprise left it facing a major price increase and continued budget pressure. With 450 public servants to support and little room for downtime, the city sought a system that was easy to use, easy to administer, and ready for new technologies.

3CX, implemented by Silver Partner Digito, replaced the old system with its Unified Communications platform in just a few hours and without disruption. The city’s 260 Snom IP phones were automatically provisioned, 64 lines and a Beronet VoIP gateway were brought under control, and staff gained access to softphones plus Android and iOS apps. The switch delivered significant cost savings, reduced admin and maintenance effort, and avoided additional licensing and upgrade costs while improving mobility and flexibility.
