The Glide Foundation (GLIDE) is a long‑standing San Francisco nonprofit that provides meals, housing assistance, healthcare, recovery programs, childcare and legal services, and depends on its website and IT systems to coordinate volunteers and fundraising for a $16M annual budget. GLIDE’s on‑premises server closet suffered from insufficient power, cooling and space as technology needs grew, creating outage risk and preventing expansion — it needed 100% uptime, reliable power and cooling, data security, lower operating costs and proximity to its offices.
