Training 14,000 Employees with a Single Platform

Galeries Lafayette’s Digital Academy launched a learning program in 2016 to serve 14,000 users across Galeries Lafayette, BHV, Didier Guérin and Louis Pion after a prior LMS proved unsuccessful. The main operational challenges were that many store learners had no professional email addresses and needed reliable access from in‑store PCs and tablets.

The team developed a standard connector with Cornerstone On Demand to provide a seamless UX for account management, catalog sharing and course statistics, and activated 35 internal experts to create content. The rollout yielded 388 courses and 223 programs, a 90% completion rate (up from 20%), roughly 20,000 monthly connections over the past year (vs. several hundred before) and 1,801 skills badges — “For our in-house experts, like the purchasing division, being able to share knowledge and deeply engage all of our in-store teams was a strong value add,” said the Academy Director.
