How Michelin Built A Community Of Learning Champions

Michelin, the world’s leading tire manufacturer, needed a faster, more scalable way to manage skills development and share expertise across its 132,000 employees. Working with 360Learning and its collaborative LMS, Michelin wanted to move beyond slow, centralized course creation and enable internal experts to respond quickly to local upskilling needs while supporting its global sustainability and talent strategy.

360Learning helped Michelin build “The Talent Factory,” a community of learning champions that empowered employees to create and share training content in just hours instead of months. The result was 530 champions co-creating courses, 82,000 training hours completed in 2023, 22,000+ active users, 9,400 courses completed in 2023, and an 86% completion rate, with Michelin also expanding to 50+ modules in 14 languages.
