World-class Energy Management Gives Durez Competitive Advantage

Durez Canada, a manufacturer of high-performance plastic composites, faced intense global competition and needed to better manage its complex energy usage to control costs. To address this challenge, the company partnered with 360 Energy and enrolled in their Journey to Energy Excellence program to modernize its energy management strategy and create a more energy-aware workforce.

The 360 Energy solution included conducting energy audits, implementing an Energy Management Information System (EMIS), and providing strategic planning and training. This comprehensive approach delivered significant results, including $260,000 in cost savings and a reduction in energy consumption of 492,000 kilowatt-hours. The program also fostered a lasting culture of continuous improvement in energy management at the facility.
