SCOR, a leader in the life reinsurance market in the Americas, needed to protect sensitive personal data in its Velogica automated life underwriting system and give clients confidence in how that data was stored and handled. To meet its goal of achieving SOC 2 accreditation, the company chose a cloud approach and worked with 2nd Watch.

2nd Watch helped SCOR design, test, and migrate Velogica to Amazon Web Services, while also supporting ongoing management of the application. The new environment included Amazon WorkSpaces and security controls such as encryption at rest, a private network in AWS, least-privilege access, and MFA. SCOR said the move could eventually cut up to 30% off the cost of hosting and supporting Velogica internally, and 2nd Watch also helped identify AWS optimization opportunities.
