Kent State University needed to spend less time on Ops work and improve time to market and research efficiency. To support its move to the cloud, the university worked with 2nd Watch on a Cloud Assessment for more than 140 applications.

2nd Watch conducted and evaluated the assessment over a four-month period and provided recommendations based on the survey results, its experience, and best practices. The work gave Kent State a cohesive strategy for which applications and technologies would move well to the cloud, along with a clearer plan for AWS infrastructure using services including AWS EC2, ELB, Snapshots, VPC, and Auto Scaling.
