Covanta, a global provider of sustainable waste and energy solutions, was growing quickly through acquisitions and its IT team was struggling to keep up. The company wanted to reduce overhead by migrating to AWS, and it selected 2nd Watch to lead the move.

2nd Watch and AWS migrated 400 servers and 43 business applications to AWS for Covanta, using services including Amazon EC2, AWS Elastic Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, Amazon S3, Glacier, and Amazon WorkSpaces. The migration helped Covanta deliver services to users 90% faster and is expected to save more than 60% in IT infrastructure costs once fully deployed.
