Case Study: Town of Bílina enhances school security and attendance tracking with 2N biometric access control

A 2N Case Study

Town of Bílina secures 14 buildings with 2N fingerprint access

The town of Bílina sought to improve security and modernize its digital infrastructure, particularly at its primary and nursery schools, as part of a Smart Cities initiative. Their challenge was to implement a reliable access control system that also provided simple integration and attendance record-keeping. To address this, they partnered with vendor 2N to deploy a solution using 2N intercoms with biometric readers.

2N implemented a system where 29 of their intercoms with fingerprint scanners control access to school buildings. The solution allows authorized parents and staff to enter using their fingerprint and integrates seamlessly with the Bakaláři school administration and Advent HR systems for attendance tracking. The result for the town of Bílina is significantly enhanced security, preventing unauthorized access, while also streamlining attendance records for both students and municipal employees.
