Bitdefender, a leading endpoint security company protecting about 500 million users, partnered with commerce provider Avangate to improve the full purchasing experience. The challenge was to holistically optimize usability, the relevance of offers shown to buyers, and behind-the-scenes purchase flows while minimizing internal resources spent on optimization.

Bitdefender implemented Avangate’s One-Click API on the post-purchase Thank-You page to enable single-click purchases, renewals and upgrades with contextually relevant cross-sells. After ongoing testing and tweaks over 18 months, cross-sell conversion rose from 4.8% to 14% and average order value increased by roughly 12%.
