iolo technologies, a Los Angeles–based maker of PC optimization, security and recovery software, wanted to grow its affiliate channel and increase its contribution to global online sales. As an SMB selling direct to consumers across multiple countries, affiliates accounted for only 0.4% of online revenue in 2015, so iolo sought a strategy to boost affiliate-driven revenue and engagement.
Partnering with 2Checkout’s Avangate Digital Commerce Enterprise Edition (eCommerce, Affiliates, Channel Manager), iolo ran targeted affiliate recruitment and promotional campaigns—monthly newsletters, Back-to-School offers and special promotions—while improving communication with partners. The program drove an 82% year‑over‑year increase in affiliate orders (Sept 2016–Aug 2017) and raised affiliates’ share of global online revenue from 0.4% in 2015 to 2.4% in 2017.
