Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport improves terminal wayfinding for 120,000 passengers with 22 Miles
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, a major economic hub in Arizona, needed to modernize its aging Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 to provide a more efficient and convenient travel experience. Their challenge was to implement a next-generation solution that would enhance their existing signage and help travelers better navigate to terminals, gates, stores, and other amenities. They chose 22Miles as their digital signage and design partner for this upgrade.
22Miles implemented a solution using their Publisher Pro 5.0 software to power seventeen interactive wayfinding kiosks. These kiosks provided point-to-point directions, real-time flight information via FIDS integration, and listings for airport amenities. The results included dramatically improved operational efficiency, as the automatic updates for gate changes eliminated the need for manual staff intervention, saving time. The kiosks also enhanced the passenger experience with features like QR code scanning for personalized directions and full ADA compliance.
