Teknion Wows the Design World with More Sophisticated Wood and Casegoods

Teknion, a global office furniture designer and manufacturer, needed a better way to support its increasingly sophisticated wood veneer and casegoods product lines. Its custom-built IT system was struggling to manage high-product-variation, custom and semi-custom furniture orders, creating pressure on operations and slowing product launches.

Teknion implemented 2020 Spaces’ 2020 Insight to connect sales orders and product configurations directly to manufacturing, generate CNC code quickly, and improve shop floor tracking and workflows. The result was a major boost in speed and accuracy: custom and semi-custom products took at least 50% less time to produce, new product creation and launch effort dropped by around 50%, and data rekeying errors were reduced through better integration and reporting.
