Teleflex, a global provider of specialty medical devices, needed a way to comply with the FDA’s Unique Device Identification (UDI) regulation while also preparing for future global regulatory requirements and customer demands for trusted product data. To support this, Teleflex worked with vendor 1WorldSync, along with LANSA’s product information management and data synchronization software, to create a standards-based data management approach.

1WorldSync helped Teleflex implement a centralized, GS1 Standards-based solution that integrated data from ERP and PLM systems, supported GTIN assignment and validation, and enabled publication to the FDA’s GUDID. The result was a “single version of truth” for product data, improved data accuracy and traceability, full GDSN operability, and stronger operational efficiency and patient safety.
