Arthrex, a global medical device manufacturer specializing in orthopedic products, needed a better way to manage and syndicate product data as it prepared for FDA UDI compliance. The company’s data was spread across SAP, Oracle, Excel files, and even product labels, making it difficult to create a single source of truth and meet the FDA’s GUDID submission requirements on time.

Arthrex implemented Innovit’s PIM solution, iICE MDM, along with 1WorldSync Item Manager as its GDSN data pool, creating a centralized product data hub with validation and governance workflows. With the help of 1WorldSync, Arthrex successfully aggregated, validated, and published high-quality product data to GUDID by the Class III deadline of September 24, 2015, and also positioned itself for broader global syndication to trading partners and other UDI recipients.
