The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) needed to keep its land management and payment systems accurate, current, and reliable so it could make prompt payments to farmers and landowners. The agency worked with 1Spatial, using its 1Integrate software and support for the Land Management System (LMS), to improve the handling of large volumes of geospatial data and speed up validation of updates.

1Spatial delivered live support through an agile, two-week sprint approach, improved automated validation rules, and introduced repeatable end-to-end testing to increase confidence and efficiency. The result was far fewer updates needing manual review, with the backlog reduced so that only around 10-12 exceptions required expert intervention at any time, helping RPA make faster, better-informed decisions and meet its payment targets more consistently.
