Lambeth London Borough Council, a densely populated inner London borough, needed to make its vast wealth of spatial data accessible and usable for both non-technical staff and the public. The challenge was to extend the capabilities of its Esri ArcGIS platform without requiring costly specialist skills, enabling efficient data sharing for public service delivery. 1Spatial provided the solution using VertiGIS Studio Technology.

1Spatial implemented VertiGIS Studio Technology as a framework to create an online 'spatial toolbox,' making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). The solution automated workflows and provided public-facing portals, leading to over 250 datasets being shared. The results for Lambeth Council included improved technical efficiency, achieved open data targets, and significant cost savings by enabling self-serve access and reducing the need for external suppliers.
