European Union Satellite Centre - Customer Case Study

The European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen) needed a more efficient way to quality control and integrate geospatial vector data from multiple sources, as its GeoInt and GIS products produced inconsistent outputs depending on the data and number of features involved. SatCen worked with 1Spatial and its 1Integrate solution to support a standardized Data Model and automate parts of the QC workflow.

1Spatial implemented validation and integration services in SatCen’s secure environment, using 1Integrate and FME to transform external data such as OpenStreetMap into SatCen’s model. The project delivered more than 450 validation rules, plus corrections and reporting, improving data transfer, transformation, and reporting efficiency while enabling faster access to accurate daily outputs and a flexible, automated QC process.
