Automation reduces the time needed to correct data by more than 80%

RESA, the leading electricity and gas distribution network operator in the Province of Liege, Belgium, needed to modernize its GIS while dealing with inconsistent DWG data from third parties that contained geometric and topological errors. To address this, RESA worked with 1Spatial and its Elyx Gas solution to improve the quality of inherited data so the new GIS could be used effectively.

1Spatial implemented its 1Integrate rule engine to validate, detect, and automatically correct data nonconformities with reusable validation and transformation rules. As a result, RESA reduced the time needed to correct data by more than 80%, improved data quality to 99.99%, and completed in 6 months what would have taken 36 months of manual work.
