Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) needed to validate, clean, and enhance its road centerline data for migration into Esri Roads and Highways, while also meeting NextGen 911, ARNOLD, and HPMS deadline requirements. The conflation effort had created data issues, and KDOT had only two months to prepare its network. 1Spatial provided its 1Integrate rules engine to help automate the validation and cleanup work.

1Spatial implemented 1Integrate with training, workshops, and consulting support so KDOT could configure validation rules, identify data inconsistencies, and automatically correct issues within tolerances. The solution helped KDOT validate 387,000 features against 45 rules in less than three hours, finish the project six months early and under budget, and replace manual SQL and Python-based processes with a repeatable in-house workflow. 1Spatial also enabled KDOT to pinpoint non-conforming features more precisely and set up future conflation work that could automate over 90% of the effort.
