Airwallex makes work effectively passwordless for 1,300 employees with 1Password

Airwallex, a global financial technology platform, sought to create a completely passwordless work environment for its 1,300+ employees and secure its development workflows. Their challenge was to eliminate insecure password practices and reduce the number of passwords in circulation while managing access across numerous unsanctioned apps. They partnered with the vendor 1Password to address this.

By implementing 1Password Business and integrating it with their existing Okta single sign-on (SSO) solution, Airwallex unlocked with SSO to significantly reduce passwords. The solution included using 1Password's SSH Agent and Secrets Automation to secure developer workflows and infrastructure secrets. The results included a secured method for storing and sharing secrets not managed by SSO, a reduction in passwords in circulation, and an effectively passwordless work environment for all offices.
