The agency lacked visibility into what software was installed, what was being used, and how to present accurate data for licensing decisions.

BOC selected and deployed AppClarity to provide centralized discovery, accurate reporting and automated reclaim policies. Within six months the agency realized $1.7M in Microsoft savings and $163K in Adobe savings, identified 12–13K unapproved installations in 6–9 months (about 15K removed to date and another 9K queued for reclaim), and significantly improved its security posture, with further savings targeted across Oracle, VMware and other vendors.
