Riverside Health System Planning an automated, accelerated Windows 10 migration with Nomad

Riverside Health System, a US healthcare provider with 7,800 PCs spread across more than 100 locations, needed to move off Windows XP and later accelerate its shift to Windows 10 after security incidents like WannaCry underscored the importance of staying current. Limited WAN bandwidth and a small centralized IT team made a fast, low-impact, automated migration essential.

By deploying 1E’s Nomad, Riverside achieved a bandwidth-efficient, low-touch rollout that cut average per‑PC migration time from three hours to 15 minutes, allowed 5–6 concurrent migrations, and eliminated end‑user disruption. The project saved over 24,000 man‑hours (about $600,000 in avoided labor cost) and left Riverside with a Nomad‑boosted infrastructure to speed future Windows 10 upgrades and patching.
